The Cribber includes two scrape modes. The Auto Cycle mode includes four scrape levels, performed sequentially. The maximum scrape depth is set by the operator and then the depth of each scrape level is calculated automatically. The Single Scrape mode is used, if necessary, after Auto Cycle mode to remove any remaining ballast directly in the crib. This mode goes directly to full depth level.
The Ballast Regulator (M7), with a single-pass ballast transfer system and a hydraulically adjusted front plow, includes three available wing types — fixed, rotational, and articulating rotational — to allow for precise ballast sculpting and profiling, while handling varying grades of ballast. In addition, the broom is easily adjusted for specific height and tilt requirements.
The Single Tie Cribber adapts easily to any rail equipment that uses a hydraulic system, such as a tie crane or excavator. The cribber is ideal for both transit work, since it quickly moves ballast away from electric track, and a pre-ballast removal step during manual rail anchor application procedures. The Single Tie Cribber is customizable - claw, top-pin assemblies, and hydraulic hose fittings - based on customer specifications.
